Job Title – Logistics and Supply Chain Coordinator

Hours of Work:- 8.00 – 17.00 Monday – Friday

Job Overview

It is the Supply Chain Coordinator’s responsibility to ensure the smooth running of goods in and out of the production facility. Ensuring that items are received and dispatched in a timely manner. This involves, the ordering of raw materials in order to meet production schedules. Coordinating and scheduling incoming and outgoing deliveries.

Duties include:-

  • Raising ‘formal’ purchase orders.
  • Placing orders for a variety of things including parts, equipment and raw materials.
  • Goods inward processing.
  • Liaising with existing suppliers + creating new suppliers.
  • Conducting Supplier & client evaluation audits and ensuring that Supplier & client compliance is maintained and up to date.
  • Planning and coordinating the transportation of products nationally and internationally.
  • Liaising with Suppliers and Clients regarding incoming and outgoing deliveries.
  • Liaising with Drivers and 3PL companies regarding incoming and outgoing deliveries.
  • Updating Production regarding the status of orders and deliveries.

The right candidate should:-

  • Have an administrative background, within a production environment.
  • Ideally have some experience of Purchasing/Supply Chain/Transport.
  • Preferably DOT Certified.
  • Be self motivated, able to plan their own workload and prioritise tasks.
  • Have strong Maths, English and IT Skills.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
