Job Overview
Full Management Accountant responsibility for a large operating company in the Magma/Unicat group, including overseeing accounting, preparation of robust and insightful management accounting reports and analyses, operation of a sound controls environment and performing budgeting and forecasting activity.
Responsibilities, Accountabilities and Duties
- Prepare accurate and timely management accounts
- Develop and improve reporting timeframes
- Monthly P&L and balance sheet reviews, with variance and trend analysis
- Accrual and prepayment preparation, along with balance sheet reconciliations
- Finance representative at stock counts
- Finance business partnering on budgets and projects
- Maintenance of fixed asset register, and CAPEX reporting
- Liaising with external auditors and other stakeholders
- Reviewing stock and WIP reporting
- KPI reporting and development.
- Development of accounting processes, including improvements, and documentation
- VAT returns, Office of National Statistics, and other statutory reporting
Skills required:
- Experience producing monthly management accounts, within reporting deadlines
- Good understanding of IFRS reporting
- Well organised, with attention to detail and ability to work in a timely manner
- Experience of a manufacturing environment desirable
- Strong MS Excel skills
- Ability to work in a team, and good communication skills
- Good problem solving skills
- FP&A experience desirable
- Looking for development, and comfortable with a high growth environment
- Would suit a qualified accountant or part qualified accountant with experience in a similar role.
