In order to enhance the products supplied in our larger market sectors, Magma Ceramics also supplies a number of complementary products which can be generally classified as adhesives, mastics, cements and powders.
These include such products as Zircon Patch for the Glass industry and cements such as Triset and Triset 66D for use in the installation of Superalloy pouring refractories.
We have other products such as Stop Leak powder for glass plants and 961 PA Cement for element winding.
Magma Ceramics also produces the well-respected “T-Material” modelling clay, an extremely resilient off-white body, particularly suited to large sculpture and hand-building.
Cements offering excellent adhesion between porous and non-porous products.
Our ‘VecoFix’ premixed refractory cement product offers excellent substance to substrate adhesion through their working temperature range.
The range of refractory cements offer excellent substance to substrate adhesion through their working temperature range. The 1400 and 1600 grades are developed especially for adhering porous products to porous surfaces while the 1200 grade has been particularly blended to provide excellent adhesion between porous and non-porous surfaces.
VecoFix cements are available to suit a range of applications and application techniques and are available in 5 and 25 litre containers
All-purpose mastics
Our ‘VecoPlas’ range of mastic products comes in several consistencies, each with its own distinct properties.
VecoPlas products are packaged in 5 and 20 litre pails and 1 litre, 500ml and 330ml cartridges for use with proprietary applicators. Non-standard package types are available to order.
Coating Cements
Magma’s ‘VecoCoat’ coating cements are specially formulated to provide excellent surface abrasion resistance for fibre products, such as to coat blanket linings in areas of gas erosion.
VecoCoat products can also be used for coating molten metal transfer launders to resist slag build-up.
VecoGlas sodium silicate solution - is available as a general purpose adhesive for a wide variety of surfaces operating up to 1000˚C, and can be used to stick fibre products to a wide variety of surfaces operating up to 1000˚C, as well as create a hardened surface to resist erosion.
VecoGlas 1.4 is viscous to assist adhesion while the 1.5 is thinner, to assist surface coating.
The range of VecoCoat coatings and VecoGlas sodium silicates are available to suit a variety of applications and application techniques, and are available in 5 litre and 25 litre containers.
