Quality Control of Molten Metals

The quality of your metal is key to your success, and by using Magma Ceramic’s molten metal samplers, you can extract small, representative samples of molten metal during smelting, casting, or refining processes.

We can offer a number of different methods in order for you to obtain your molten sample to test for chemical composition, temperature, metal cleanliness and impurities, ensuring quality control and product quality in foundries and metal processing plants.

The sample can be taken using a separate Dip Sampler, which can be attached to a lance arm to dip into the melt.

Alternatively, Magma can design an integrated part within the tundish, which can be collected once the melt run is complete.
