High-Temperature, Lightweight Heat Treatment Furnace Insulation

Vacuum formed boards provide lightweight, high-temperature insulation in heat treatment furnaces to improve thermal efficiency, protect structural elements, and ensure consistent processing conditions.

At Magma, our family of vacuum formed boards are branded ‘VecoBoard’, and manufactured using insulating fibres with a wide range of chemical and physical properties, combined with several different binder types and a comprehensive machining and post treatment service.

VecoBoard products provide excellent thermal insulation, resistance to thermal shock and are resistant to attack from corrosive chemicals, with the exception of hydrofluoric acid, phosphoric acid and concentrated alkalis.

Comprehensive range of products to exact specifications

We provide a comprehensive range of VecoBoard vacuum formed boards to suitable customer’s specific applications, operating at temperatures up to 1700 °C.

Typical applications include being used as the primary insulation layer exposed directly to the furnace interior, as back-up Insulation installed behind refractory bricks or castables to reduce heat loss and in furnace doors or modular covers where thermal integrity and ease of maintenance are needed.
